Lead UX and product design efforts across complex web-based software and SaaS experiences.
Work with Product and Engineering teams to understand customer problems, business objectives, technical considerations, and desired outcomes.
Conduct user research through interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics, and other appropriate methods.
Translate research and customer feedback into clear design opportunities and actionable recommendations.
Create user journeys, workflows, information architectures, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Simplify complex workflows and data-heavy interfaces so users can complete tasks efficiently and confidently.
Explore multiple design concepts and approaches before determining the most effective solution.
Use prototyping and user validation to test ideas early and reduce uncertainty before development begins.
Participate in product discovery and contribute UX perspective to product strategy and roadmap discussions.
Facilitate design discussions, workshops, journey mapping, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
Partner closely with engineers throughout development to ensure designs are implemented effectively and remain true to the intended user experience.
Communicate design decisions, research findings, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and evolution of a scalable design system and reusable interaction patterns.
Help establish consistent and accessible experiences across the product.
Use product analytics and other available data to understand how users interact with products and evaluate the impact of design decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, engagement, and overall customer satisfaction.
Use AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to explore concepts, generate variations, test interactions, and accelerate the design process.
Apply appropriate human oversight when using AI, particularly when working with customer information, research data, accessibility, or design decisions that could affect users.
Work with Product and Engineering to balance user needs, technical feasibility, business objectives, accessibility, and development effort.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to UX standards and best practices.
Mentor less experienced designers and share knowledge, processes, and design techniques with the broader team.
5+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, or a closely related discipline.
Experience designing SaaS, B2B, enterprise, or other complex digital products.
Demonstrated experience designing sophisticated web applications with complex workflows, data, reporting, or business processes.
Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles.
Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing.
Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to take projects from discovery and research through design, prototyping, implementation, and refinement.
Strong proficiency with modern UX design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma or comparable platforms.
Experience creating interactive prototypes that effectively communicate complex workflows and interactions.
Experience working with design systems, reusable components, and scalable UI patterns.
Familiarity with product analytics and the ability to use behavioral data to inform design decisions.
Understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
Experience working within an Agile or similar cross-functional product development environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and influence stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, technical limitations, accessibility, and development timelines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
