Senior Java Developer – New Jersey

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Integration Developer to join a growing technology team responsible for developing and supporting enterprise data exchange platforms, system integrations, and regulatory reporting processes. This is a key role focused on ensuring secure, accurate, and reliable movement of data across multiple internal and external systems. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Java-based backend applications using modern development frameworks.
Develop, enhance, and support RESTful APIs and enterprise system integrations.
Maintain automated data interfaces between internal platforms, databases, and third-party systems.
Support recurring regulatory and compliance-related reporting processes.
Monitor inbound and outbound data transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely processing.
Analyze response files, identify errors, and implement corrective actions.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation scripts.
Troubleshoot production issues involving applications, interfaces, APIs, and databases.
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems.
Prepare technical documentation for applications, processes, and data flows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement enhancements.
Provide after-hours support when necessary for critical production systems.

Required Experience

Qualifications
Strong professional experience in Java development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and support.
Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar enterprise frameworks.
Advanced knowledge of SQL, XML, JDBC, APIs, and secure file transfer processes.
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Strong understanding of backend integrations and batch data processing.
Ability to troubleshoot high-priority production systems under tight deadlines.
Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools, including advanced Excel skills.
Familiarity with legacy systems or mainframe-connected environments is a plus.
Exposure to EDI standards or structured data exchange formats preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
