Plant Manager

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer commitments are met.
Oversee production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, efficiency, equipment utilization, and on-time delivery.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop production, maintenance, and operational teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and employee engagement.
Partner with department leaders to support workforce development and succession planning.
Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments.

Continuous Improvement
Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar process improvement methodologies.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, quality improvements, and cost reduction.

Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
Promote a strong safety culture and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Financial & Strategic Management
Manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, and cost control initiatives.
Support long-term operational planning and facility growth strategies.
Partner with executive leadership to align plant performance with overall business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to support product development, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and key business partners.

Required Experience

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of manufacturing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading manufacturing operations, production teams, or plant-level functions.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, and operational management.

Technical Skills
Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing software platforms.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
Ability to analyze operational data and make informed business decisions.

Leadership Competencies
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Experience

Preferred Qualifications Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications. Experience implementing process improvements or operational transformation initiatives. Exposure to automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, or Industry 4.0 initiatives. Experience in engineered products, industrial manufacturing, or related production environments.
