Marketing Manager

A growing technology-focused organization is seeking a Technical Marketing Leader to help translate complex technology solutions into compelling messaging, content, and go-to-market strategies. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands both marketing and technology and wants the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on a growing business. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B technology marketing and a strong understanding of areas such as cloud, AI, cybersecurity, networking, and managed services. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage a marketing calendar—the organization is looking for a high-energy, curious professional who wants to learn, build, test ideas, and take ownership.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing initiatives designed to increase brand awareness, engagement, qualified opportunities, and revenue.
Translate complex technology solutions into clear, compelling messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop content including website copy, sales materials, presentations, email campaigns, digital content, case studies, and other marketing collateral.
Build and manage multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, web, content, and other appropriate channels.
Partner closely with sales leadership to understand target markets, customer needs, competitive positioning, and pipeline opportunities.
Develop marketing materials and sales enablement resources that help sales teams communicate the value of technical solutions.
Manage and continuously improve the company’s website, digital presence, and online content.
Utilize CRM, marketing automation, sales intelligence, analytics, and other technology platforms to support marketing efforts and measure results.
Analyze campaign and market data to determine what is working, identify opportunities, and make adjustments.
Support account-based marketing and targeted outreach initiatives.
Help plan and execute industry events, conferences, webinars, and other opportunities to engage prospective customers.
Stay current on emerging technologies, particularly AI and tools that can improve marketing effectiveness, content development, automation, and analytics.
Evaluate new marketing technologies and identify practical ways to incorporate them into the organization’s strategy.
Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice across marketing channels.
Work with internal teams and outside partners as needed to execute marketing initiatives.
Help develop and manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and campaign investments.
Establish measurable objectives and communicate marketing performance and revenue impact to leadership.
Take ownership of projects from concept through execution rather than waiting for direction at every step.

Required Experience

3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within a B2B technology, IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, SaaS, or other technical environment.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical products or services and translate them into effective marketing messages.
Experience developing content and campaigns designed for business-to-business audiences.
Experience working closely with sales teams and supporting revenue-generating initiatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working with digital marketing platforms, CRM/marketing automation systems, analytics tools, and website content management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to turn information into actionable ideas.
Demonstrated curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn unfamiliar products, services, and concepts.
Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Highly self-motivated with a high level of initiative, urgency, and follow-through.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership, sales, technical teams, and outside partners.
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Technology, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience and demonstrated ability will be considered.

Preferred Experience

This is really where I would sell the role. The client isn’t looking for someone who simply has three to five years of marketing experience. They’re looking for someone who has the motor and intellectual curiosity to become a technical marketing expert. I’d describe the ideal person as: Someone who already knows marketing but wants to become much better at marketing technology. They should be the person who hears cloud, AI, cybersecurity, managed services, and networking and thinks, “I want to understand how that works, why customers need it, and how I can explain it better.”
