Partner with operations and commercial leadership to identify manufacturing, quality, process, and customer-related opportunities for improvement.
Lead initiatives designed to improve manufacturing efficiency, plant yield, throughput, product quality, and cost performance across multiple facilities.
Evaluate and implement process improvements and technologies that can be effectively replicated across the manufacturing organization.
Design, execute, and analyze process and product experiments using data-driven methodologies to improve manufacturing performance and reduce costs.
Provide engineering leadership for new plant designs, expansions, capital improvements, and major equipment/process projects while balancing operational, commercial, and financial requirements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, statistical analysis, or other appropriate methodologies.
Direct the organization’s quality function and establish a proactive quality culture focused on measurable quality and cost-of-quality improvements.
Oversee quality audits across manufacturing facilities and ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and work instructions.
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action efforts related to manufacturing, product, and customer quality issues.
Develop, maintain, and implement quality systems, procedures, and standard work in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Ensure products consistently meet applicable industry specifications and lead the qualification of new products.
Partner with commercial and product leadership to translate customer feedback into product and process improvement opportunities.
Lead technical development and testing activities from raw material evaluation and prototype processing through full-scale production and field application.
Develop strong relationships with key customers to better understand technical requirements, product performance, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide technical leadership and support to field application specialists and commercial teams, including customer demonstrations and product evaluations.
Optimize application and production processes for new and existing products through structured testing and data analysis.
Lead and develop a cross-functional technical organization that may include quality, process engineering, quality systems, project management, and technical application professionals.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with operations, commercial, finance, and manufacturing leadership to ensure technical initiatives align with broader business objectives.
Support operational scaling, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and troubleshooting support at manufacturing facilities and customer locations.
Travel approximately 50% of the time, with additional travel as needed for critical projects, customer needs, or operational issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field required.
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
10+ years of progressive engineering, operations, manufacturing, or process improvement experience within an industrial or process manufacturing environment.
Experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations or engineering functions in a mid-sized industrial organization.
Strong background in process engineering, manufacturing optimization, operational excellence, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
Experience with industrial processing operations such as crushing, screening, drying, material handling, separation, or similar processes preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading capital projects, plant expansions, equipment improvements, and other major operational initiatives.
Proven ability to use data, experimentation, and statistical analysis to identify problems and drive measurable process improvements.
Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or similar tools preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing technical, engineering, quality, or operations personnel.
Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with operational budgets, capital expenditures, manufacturing costs, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, operational scaling, or other strategic growth initiatives preferred.
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization.
Proven ability to work effectively with external customers and translate customer needs into technical and operational solutions.
Comfortable working in a lean, hands-on manufacturing environment while balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day operational execution.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaboration across operations, commercial, finance, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
