Commercial Project Manager

A well-established commercial construction company is looking to add two Project Managers to its team in the Mechanicsburg area. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving problems, working closely with clients and field teams, and being part of a close-knit organization. The company is open to Project Managers from a variety of construction backgrounds, including general contractors and specialty subcontractors. The right person will bring strong project management experience, a proactive approach, and the ability to see a project through from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial construction projects from initial planning through completion.
Coordinate closely with clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal leadership.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
Monitor project costs, labor, materials, and overall performance.
Review project plans, specifications, scopes, and contract requirements.
Coordinate project planning with estimating, field supervision, and other members of the construction team.
Identify potential issues early and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving.
Assist with change orders, project documentation, and cost tracking.
Coordinate materials, equipment, information, and other resources needed for successful project execution.
Monitor subcontractor performance and help ensure work is completed according to project requirements.
Maintain consistent communication with customers and project stakeholders throughout the project.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates regarding schedule, cost, progress, and potential challenges.
Help ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and contractual expectations.
Work collaboratively with other Project Managers and members of the construction team.
Support strong customer relationships and help maintain the company’s reputation for quality and professionalism.
Take ownership of assigned projects and follow through on commitment

Required Experience

Experience managing construction projects from beginning to completion.
Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
Candidates from General Contractors or specialty subcontractors will be considered.
Experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, multifamily, healthcare, institutional, or other commercial construction is welcome.
Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working independently while also being an active member of a team.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and take action without waiting for direction.
Valid driver’s license.
