ERP Support Specialist

We are seeking an ERP Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for an organization’s ERP environment, with a strong focus on troubleshooting data issues and resolving user requests. This role is ideal for someone who understands how business systems and data work together, is comfortable working with SQL, and enjoys digging into problems to find practical solutions.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming ERP support requests and prioritize issues based on business impact and urgency.
Troubleshoot ERP-related application and data issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Use Microsoft SQL Server to query, analyze, and make approved corrections to business data.
Investigate the underlying cause of data discrepancies rather than simply addressing the immediate symptom.
Work directly with employees across departments to gather information and understand the issue being reported.
Communicate clearly with users regarding troubleshooting steps, expected timelines, and resolutions.
Document issues and solutions so information can be referenced for future troubleshooting and training.
Identify recurring system or data problems and recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues.
Partner with IT and business users on system improvements and special projects.
Help maintain reliable ERP data and system functionality to support day-to-day business operations.
Take ownership of assigned issues and follow them through to resolution.
Manage multiple requests and shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Perform other IT and ERP-related responsibilities as needed.

Required Experience

Experience supporting an ERP system in a business environment.
Intermediate SQL skills, including the ability to write queries, analyze data, and perform data manipulation.
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate problems and identify root causes.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when working with business-critical data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond appropriately to changing business needs.
Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of problems without needing constant direction.
Ability to work collaboratively with employees across different departments and levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach.

Preferred Experience

The strongest candidate will be someone who is naturally curious and enjoys solving problems. You don’t necessarily need to be an ERP developer or database administrator, but you should be comfortable getting into the data, understanding what is happening, and figuring out how to resolve the issue. We are looking for someone who will take initiative, communicate well with users, and look for opportunities to make the ERP environment and support process better over time.
