Senior Business Systems Developer

A growing organization is seeking an experienced software development professional to support the design, development, and maintenance of internal business applications and system integrations. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems, supporting enterprise data environments, and enabling integration between business platforms through modern APIs. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in application development, database management, and troubleshooting within complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain system integrations using RESTful APIs.
Build and support backend applications and services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Develop, optimize, and maintain database queries and stored procedures within enterprise database environments.
Manage source control, build pipelines, and deployment processes within a version-controlled development environment.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Develop and maintain technical documentation as well as basic end-user support resources.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve system functionality and data accessibility.

Tools & Technologies
Integrated development environments for application development
Enterprise database management tools
Source control and version management systems (Git or similar)
Database development and management platforms

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in application development, software engineering, or system integration.
Experience supporting API-driven and database-backed applications.
Experience working within a structured development environment that includes version control and ticketing systems.

Required Experience

Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Proven experience debugging, logging, and troubleshooting application issues.
Experience with modern object-oriented programming languages, including C#.
Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs.
Front-end or scripting experience with JavaScript.
Strong SQL development experience within enterprise databases.
Experience developing applications in languages such as PHP.

Preferred Experience

Exposure to enterprise cloud infrastructure platforms. Experience with enterprise integration platforms and low-code application development tools. Experience with enterprise analytics or reporting platforms.

He/she will communicate on a daily basis with CFO with regards to any change orders or issues/concerns with invoicing the job. He/she will take job meetings and provide minutes from those meetings to share with the office. He/she will pull permits and call for inspections. He/she will work with other subcontractors and organize fire alarm, security, etc. He/she will coordinate with the job foreman and make sure all close out documents, time sheets and paperwork are sent back to the office. Oversees the safety of the job site and makes sure all toolbox talks are completed weekly. If there are any special safety concerns, makes owners and office aware of them.
