Regional Operations Leader – Northern New Jersey

Senior-level leadership opportunity overseeing regional operations, financial performance, and business growth for a well-established organization within the built-environment sector. This role is responsible for driving market expansion, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across the Northern New Jersey region.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership
* Develop and execute an annual regional business strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
* Oversee regional revenue, margin performance, and overall financial health.
* Review and analyze profit and loss statements to guide forecasting and business planning.
* Identify growth opportunities within the market and implement actionable plans.

Operational Oversight
* Ensure effective execution of operational processes across projects and teams.
* Monitor project performance to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
* Maintain accountability for regional performance metrics and operational standards.
* Approve contracts, proposals, and certain expenditures within established authority limits.

Business Development & Client Relations
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
* Support business development efforts including proposal strategy and client engagement.
* Represent the organization within the local market and professional community.

Leadership & Team Development
* Lead and mentor regional leadership team members.
* Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
* Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
* Partner with Human Resources on hiring, promotion, and performance management decisions.

Required Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, operations, or project-driven environments.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing regional P&L performance.
* Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
* OSHA 30 certification preferred.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
* Strong communication and executive presence.
