Project Administrator

A well-established construction organization is looking for a motivated, personable professional to join its team in a role that combines project administration, subcontractor outreach, preconstruction support, and relationship development. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, picking up the phone, building relationships, staying organized, and taking initiative. Experience in construction, project administration, project coordination, estimating support, preconstruction, subcontractor coordination, inside sales, business development, vendor relations, purchasing, procurement, or a related field
Construction industry experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
Comfortable communicating with people by phone and email and confident initiating conversations
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop rapport with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members
Persistent and comfortable with follow-up without being overly aggressive
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to keep track of multiple projects, contacts, and conversations
Self-motivated and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
Resourceful and able to research information, ask good questions, and find solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable learning construction terminology, project details, and the bidding process
Able to work effectively with project managers, estimators, and other members of the team
Professional, personable, and confident with a genuine interest in building relationships
A “figure it out and get it done” mindset with the initiative to keep things moving
