Human Resource Generalist

This role supports many aspects of Human Resources functions, partnering closely with leadership to provide operational HR guidance and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Responsibilities

* Manage the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring timely and accurate completion of required steps.
* Process employment changes including promotions and compensation adjustments.
* Assist management in tracking performance documentation, identifying training needs, and following up on performance improvement plans.
* Provide guidance and approval on employee separations, overseeing all related documentation and timely processing.
* Maintain a deep understanding of company policies and procedures to address employee and management inquiries.
* Manage unemployment claim submissions.
* Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment regulations.
* Monitor and track the completion of performance reviews and follow-up on corrective action items.
* Proactively track 90-day evaluations for front-line employees and ensure timely completion.
* Participate in regular leadership and HR team calls.
* Prepare and distribute monthly HR and regional metrics reports.
* Assist with internal interviews and selection processes.
* Provide HR coverage during absences or vacancies.
* Cross-train in all HR functions, including leave administration, workers’ compensation, EEO reporting, benefits, and other areas as needed.
* Participate in company wellness, safety, and culture-related initiatives.
* Work on-site according to scheduling requirements, which may change based on business needs.
* Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the company’s core values.
* Perform additional HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Experience

* SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with HRIS platforms
* Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
* Proven ability to build strong working relationships, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
