Electrical Project Manager

The Project Manager will layout the jobs he/she is assigned. He/she will send the material lists out for quotes, purchase the material, track submittals, order special material, return any material that needs replaced or is defective. He/she will communicate on a daily basis with CFO with regards to any change orders or issues/concerns with invoicing the job. He/she will take job meetings and provide minutes from those meetings to share with the office. He/she will pull permits and call for inspections. He/she will work with other subcontractors and organize fire alarm, security, etc. He/she will coordinate with the job foreman and make sure all close out documents, time sheets and paperwork are sent back to the office. Oversees the safety of the job site and makes sure all toolbox talks are completed weekly. If there are any special safety concerns, makes owners and office aware of them.

• Treat the General Contractors with the utmost respect and professionalism.
• Oversees the Foreman and lets owners or the office know of any issues/concerns.
• Mentor and coach, our foreman to become better foreman and understand how their project effects
the profitability of the company.
• Layout jobs assigned.
• Develop and send out material lists for quotes.
• Track orders – makes sure the material will be here on schedule.
• Orders special material.
• Attend job meetings: kick off, pre-construction, job site, close out.
• Track and submits change orders.
• Pulls permits, DR numbers, calls and sets up inspections.
• Make sure all red lines are complete and all close out documentation is turned into office in a timely
manner to meet job deadlines.
• Works with other Subcontractors we have hired for the job such as Fire Alarm, Security, etc.
• Tracks any return of material or defective material.
• Make sure all timesheets are correct and paperwork is turned in to office on time.
• Make sure toolbox talks are being done weekly and job site is safe.
• Covers for master electrician where needed.

Required Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or ten years related electrical experience and/or training; master electrician designation.

experience and/or training; master electrician designation.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as project specifications, safety rules, operating instructions, submittals, warranties, blueprints and etc.

• Ability to find information on drawings (reading of prints)
