Data Entry Specialist (Temporary – Remote)

We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Specialists to support a busy Provider Relations team on a temporary remote assignment. In this role, candidates will assist with managing a backlog of internal and external communications by reviewing, triaging, and accurately entering information into the appropriate systems and workflows. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced administrative environments, possess strong organizational skills, and have previous healthcare-related data entry experience. Training will be provided on internal systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Review and process high volumes of internal and external email communications.
Triage incoming requests and route information to the appropriate recipients or departments.
Accurately enter and update data within internal systems and databases.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy of sensitive information.
Follow established workflows, procedures, and documentation guidelines.
Assist with backlog management to support operational efficiency.
Communicate professionally with internal team members regarding request status and escalations.
Participate in training sessions and utilize reference materials as needed for ongoing support.
Meet productivity and accuracy expectations in a remote work environment.

Required Experience

Previous data entry or administrative support experience required.
Prior experience within a healthcare, medical, insurance, or provider relations environment strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
Strong written communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency with email systems, Microsoft Office, and data entry platforms.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes through training.

Preferred Experience

Experience handling high-volume email queues or workflow management. Familiarity with healthcare terminology, provider data, or insurance-related processes. Previous experience supporting provider relations, patient services, or healthcare operations teams. Proven ability to work efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
