Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager in Western, PA to lead our service and repair operations for construction and industrial equipment. This role oversees both shop and field service teams, ensuring high-quality work, efficient processes, and a superior customer experience. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, technical expertise, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

* Supervise and coordinate in-shop service and field repair of machines and industrial equipment
* Provide leadership to achieve operational, technical, and profitability objectives
* Manage branch maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment readiness
* Prepare and schedule sales and expense budgets; forecast capital expenditures
* Develop service objectives and departmental goals
* Train and develop service team employees, conducting regular meetings and technical training
* Monitor department and individual performance against quality and profit targets
* Perform administrative duties including reporting, record-keeping, and compliance with safety procedures
* Schedule routine maintenance and maintain accurate equipment service records
* Actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
* Foster effective communication and teamwork across all departments

Required Experience

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

* Associate’s degree in Heavy Equipment Repair, Industrial Technology, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong technical knowledge of construction or industrial equipment, machinery, and repair practices
* Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, including coaching, training, and performance monitoring
* Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to address groups of employees or customers
* Solid math skills including calculations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple variables in standardized situations
* Comfortable working in a combination of office and shop environments with occasional moderate noise and physical activity (lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, kneeling, crouching)
