Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer/Designer where they will support the design, coordination, and execution of small-scale mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform mechanical engineering design and analysis for small projects, including HVAC modifications, equipment replacements, piping upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements.
* Prepare or review mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment selections.
* Conduct site visits to assess existing systems, gather field data, and ensure constructability.
* Collaborate with service technicians, project managers, estimators, and subcontractors to deliver fully scoped, executable solutions.
* Assist in developing scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
* Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle—from concept through commissioning.
* Ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and customer specifications.
* Identify opportunities for system improvements and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions.
* Maintain accurate documentation and detailed project records.

Required Experience

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
* 2–5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering/design experience in the MEP or HVAC industry.
* Experience working on small projects in commercial or institutional environments is preferred.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; familiarity with Bluebeam; and exposure to load calculation tools (such as Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) is a plus.
* Solid understanding of mechanical codes, HVAC systems, and piping layouts.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* EIT or PE licensure is a plus, but not required.
