Mechanical Engineer I (Entry-Level)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the design and development of HVAC and mechanical system solutions.
* Perform engineering calculations related to heating, cooling, ventilation, airflow, and energy efficiency.
* Support equipment selection and system sizing for various projects.
* Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports, and project documentation.
* Review plans, submittals, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
* Assist with project coordination between engineering, operations, and field teams.
* Participate in site visits, field observations, and project meetings as needed.
* Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to system performance and design challenges.
* Utilize engineering software and tools to support project design and analysis.
* Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry regulations.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet project schedules and objectives.
* Participate in continuous learning opportunities and professional development activities.

Required Experience

Qualifications

Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or actively pursuing EIT certification.

Experience
* Internship, co-op, or project experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, HVAC, or related industries preferred.
* Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills
* Basic understanding of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software preferred.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
