Information Technology manager

The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT systems and networks.

Responsibilities

* Evaluating and recommending solutions that will enable functional business efficiencies.
* Infrastructure Management, design, implementation, maintenance, including hardware, software, networks and telecommunications.
* Proactively forecast organizational needs, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, and recommend hardware, software, network, security, and cloud-based services.
* Advise on security plans and protocols to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems; implement back-up and disaster recovery procedures, information security and control structures.
* Technical Support and Troubleshooting.
* Create and execute tactical plans in alignment with organization and technical strategy.
* Assist VP of IT to analyze business needs, evaluate systems & technologies, assess ROI and champion implementation/adoption.
* Coordinate with other departments to develop and deliver training activities for existing, new, or emerging technologies.
* Monitor, maintain, and manage network architecture and key business systems.
* Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure all new employees have proper hardware and software resources.
* Manage technical aspects of communication and document management tools including MS Teams and SharePoint.
* Assist VP of IT to make recommendations for new/altered technologies that would contribute to overall cost savings and/or productivity improvements.
* Assist VP of IT in developing strategic plan and vision and capacity planning for meeting future technology needs.
* Cybersecurity and data protection, conduct regular security assessments and risk management to protect against potential threats.
* Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into the organization.

Required Experience

* Minimum 8 years progressive experience in information technology, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
* Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY The IT Software Asset Manager and Vulnerability Analyst leads the IT Software Asset Management Team by working independently, with limited supervision, managing the agency’s hardware inventory, software asset portfolio, and remediating associated risks and vulnerabilities.
