MEP Revit Modeler

The MEP Revit Modeler is responsible for creating precise and detailed mechanical models and documentation using Revit.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Translate design sketches, verbal instructions, and technical specifications into accurate engineering drawings.
* Revise and update drawings based on markups, design changes, or engineering feedback.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
* Ensure all drawings comply with internal and industry drafting standards.
* Oversee the operation and upkeep of 3D scanning equipment and associated software, including routine maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs.
* Manage drawing records and maintain organized file systems within design software platforms.
* Collaborate with mechanical engineers and quality assurance teams to address design or fabrication issues.
* Participate in design and project review meetings to support drawing modifications and updates.
* Liaise with vendors and suppliers to clarify technical drawings and specifications when needed.
* Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Required Experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field.
• Three (3) + years of experience using Revit for mechanical design, with a strong portfolio of BIM projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical codes applicable to process systems.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and electrical
schematics.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and project lifecycles.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping layouts, and process piping.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulations, and practices. (ISA, API, ASME, IEC)
• Experience working with 3D scanning equipment, preferably Leica, but familiarity with Faro, Trimble, Topcon and NavVis systems is also acceptable.
