Representative Activities
- Meets personal sales targets as established, focusing on small to moderate accounts, which are stable in nature, within identified markets or geography; product range, complexity, and challenge may be somewhat limited
- Receive periodic coaching from supervisor or more experienced professional
- Prepare sales presentations, contacts, and proposals subject to review by a supervisor
- Participate in special projects such as major promotions, new product launches, and new marketing initiatives
- Seek out and develop new customer relationships
- Keep watch for prospective projects and accounts
- Provide customer(s) with accurate quotes in a timely manner
- Keep up to date with new innovations and specifications for future projects
- Discuss vendor issues and/or market trends with managers
- Maintains open communication with office support staff
- Maintains and grows existing relationships with customers
- Keep a current understanding of the market place
- Learn and be the authority for specifications in municipalities and territories you are selling in
