- Assists in key finance initiatives and projects.
- Participate in decisions making with site managers in giving appropriate information and proposing solutions to the business level on key business financials such a working capital and cash flow.
- Defines key performance indicators for the operations and assists in developing operational targets. Follow up and reporting of the implementation of KPIs, analyzing trends and variance against target.
- Assist the business in the development of cost estimates of new products.
- Analyzes cost information for use in controlling expenditures. Communicates potential cost issues with operations management.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assist site management / operations with reviewing monthly financial statements.
- Assists in the execution of both tactical and strategic projects in collaboration with the Reed Management team identifying opportunity and solutions for improvement for the business both short and long term.
- Compiles cost information to be used in the operating budget preparation. Will collaborate and develop the annual plan and quarterly forecast.
- Provide financial projection at mid-month.
- Manage the development of standard costs. Plans, studies, and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested by operations and finance management.
- Maintains the standard costs
- Completes the month end close out.
- Participates in Month-End Closing procedures by ensuring accurate accounting of all revenue and cost in the month, reviewing site financials to detect any discrepancies and anomalies, and prepares detailed comments of the month results in Sales and Costs comparing actual numbers with Plan & latest Forecast financials.
- Analyze compliance reports and identify areas of improvement.
- Help to identify and resolve technical US GAAP and other accounting related issues as they arise.
- Identify process or cost issues and assist in the development of a remediation plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in accounting, finance or business administration.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either:
- Cost Accounting (experience with manufacturing operations preferred)
- Public Accounting with external audit experience
- Financial Analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of product – specific skills in Excel and PowerPoint presentation development
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either:
- Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- US GAAP and Internal Controls knowledge
- Accurately management of complex accounting processes and controls
- Diligence and focus on working to strict deadlines
- Multitasking and prioritization of workload
- Deal with complex financial reporting and data, accurately, timely and completely
