Senior Enterprise Scheduling & Automation Administrator

The Senior Enterprise Scheduling & Automation Administrator’s primary responsibility is to lead the design, implementation, and management of automated job scheduling solutions that optimize Information Technology (IT) operations across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Stonebranch automation tools and technologies (e.g., Stonebranch Workload Automation or Workload Automation Solutions) to evaluate deployment requirements and compatibility, design deployment strategies, install and configure workload automation components, test deployments and performance, execute production deployments and validate job execution and system stability/performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and optimize post-deployment settings in alignment with organizational goals/priorities.
• Develop and maintain automated job scheduling solutions that align with business requirements and operational goals.
• Collaborate with IT operations teams and cross-functional teams to create workflows, leveraging event-based triggers to automate and orchestrate system jobs across mainframe, on-premises, and hybrid IT environments.
• Manage and optimize automated workflows to ensure efficient and reliable IT operations.
• Monitoring, force finishing, re-running tasks and monitoring task outputs for optimal efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot job scheduling processes and outputs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Document automation processes and solutions to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
• Create and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures for workflows, runbooks for operational consistency; troubleshooting, error handling, incident response, routine maintenance, and repeatability in deployments.
• Manage task workflow lifecycle management and monitor activity.
• Develop and generate reports outlining progress and to ensure workflow management is running as expected, develop task forecasting, and reporting for senior leadership.
• Provide technical support and guidance to IT operations teams on job scheduling best practices.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external entities, including Managed Service Providers, developers, system administrators, and business units to align automation strategies with organization goals, including the review and forecasting of calendar scheduling to prevent scheduling conflicts, and accounting for dependencies, holidays, and other competing tasks, jobs, or priorities.
Participate in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing.

Required Experience

• Expert knowledge in Stonebranch automation tools and technologies (e.g., Stonebranch Workload Automation or Workload Automation Solutions); building, deployment, managing, upgrading, and optimizing.
• Experience working with IT infrastructure operations.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
• Knowledge of how to configure tasks, workflows, local and global variables including a strong understanding of triggers, actions run/skip criteria.
• Expert in task and workflow lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Bash/Korn Shell scripting.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Experienced at conducting modeling sessions to analyze complex requirements or design issues.
• Proven experience in job scheduling and automation in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment using strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse audiences at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including mainframes, on-premises, and hybrid IT environments.

Preferred Experience

• PowerShell scripting. • Python scripting. • Understanding requirements for Red Hat Enterprise Linux as underling Operating System. • General understanding of networking and client access troubleshooting. • Knowledge of public cloud deployment solutions.

The Crystal Reports Developer will take charge of the design, development, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the Presentation, Database, and Reporting Tiers.
The technician provides IT technical support to local users, and remote support to offices outside of the greater Harrisburg area. Additional responsibilities include supporting, maintaining, and configuring staff desktop PCs, laptops, VMWare virtual servers, client applications, printers, and other end-user devices.
