Quality Control Manager – Commercial Construction (Daytona, FL)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to supervise and coordinate the installation of plumbing and mechanical systems to maintain the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Duties:

Communicate the company’s mission, vision, and core values
Operating knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems and installation methods
Knowledge and understanding of plumbing and mechanical codes.
Knowledge of trade related tools
Promotes preventive maintenance of tools and equipment
Knowledge of the safe use of hazardous materials, solvents, cleaners, adhesives
Ability to perform math computations needed in the trade
Personal computer, tablet, and smart phone skills
Ability to layout piping and equipment from prints to maintain proper clearances.
Schedule system tests and inspections Coordinate with inspectors to demonstrate code compliance
Assist with coordination and shop drawing review
Attend weekly internal progress meetings
Work with other departments to accomplish tasks and resolve situations
Create and maintain a culture of accountability
Resolve conflicts with respect and professionalism
Ability to inspect welded, threaded, grooved, soldered, and brazed piping systems
Coordinate piping system flushing and equipment startup
Assist in project commissioning
Coordinate with subcontractors and field supervision to take corrective action as necessary.
Ability to read and interpret: Blueprints, Detail sheets, Sketches, Schematics
Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people
Always conduct themselves in a professional manner

Required Experience

Experience

Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
Journeyman or master’s license is a plus but not required
Equivalent technical school or work experience
Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems
Able to adapt successfully to changing conditions
Maintain a supportive coaching attitude
Exhibit a professional attitude when dealing with other trades, subs, GCs, and internal departments
Criminal background check required for hire

The Process Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for complex problem-solving activities in the areas of manufacturing and new product implementation. These specific problem-solving activities can include safety improvements and initiative support, manufacturing cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency increases, operational excellence and continuous improvement, increase equipment reliability, preventative and predictive maintenance, development of critical spare parts lists, and support of new product introduction initiatives at the site manufacturing level.

Oversees the safety of the job site and makes sure all toolbox talks are completed weekly. If there are any special safety concerns, makes owners and office aware of them.
The Technician involves performing support tasks, assisting with routine troubleshooting, and helping maintain systems.
Experience needed: Diesel mechanic experience. Must have a CDLA. Heavy truck inspection experience. Experience with emissions. Experience working with excavating equipment and site development equipment, etc. backhoes, track hoes, dozers, and overall general maintenance knowledge.
