Field Service Technician

As a field service technician, you will travel to client locations, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide technical training on company equipment.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:
• Install or upgrade equipment maintained by the company in various field locations
• Configuring hardware and software components after installation
• Perform routine maintenance on technology equipment
• Test equipment to troubleshoot the issues
• Document installation and repairs
• Assess equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Maintain all tools and equipment used during service calls
• Teach customers how to use the equipment properly
• Meet with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair
• Manage the stock of replacement parts and equipment
• Maintain equipment stock in the company vehicle
• Manage demo/loaner fleet of equipment
• Be proficient in all aspects of the ERP system
• Assist sales staff in providing customer quotes
• Order and receive inventory
• Generate and coordinate order shipments
• Coordinate all RMA’s
• Serve as centralized sales call tracker and coordinator
• Help to coordinate remote cold call and appointment set ups
• Work with Marketing team as directed
• Gain intermediate understanding of all products and uses
• Provide summary reports as directed
• Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures
• Work in a team environment, communicating as required with all personnel

Required Experience

• Excellent Troubleshooting skills
• Able to adapt to a constantly changing work schedule
• Able to travel overnight frequently
• Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking
• Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels
• Good communication and training skills
• Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks and activities at once, to organize and set priorities and to meet deadlines
• Computer savvy: ability to learn and retain new programs and applications
• Demonstrated skills in project management
• Excellent time management skills
• Mechanical and electrical skills
• Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to pass a drug test
